Van Clergue is a series of images taken in Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia. The project was inspired by the work of Lucien Clergue, particularly his photographs of the Camargue. Among the themes explored are reflections, patterns of light and dark, borders and "morphism" (seeing animate shapes in inanimate objects). More information about the project is available in either English or Francais.
The photos below are selected examples from my 2009 book Van Clergue.
